Kathy is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Supervising Counselor for the State of Alabama, and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. Kathy has 30 years of experience in the counseling field and is the president and owner of Building Hope Counseling in Huntsville, AL. Kathy received her undergraduate degree at Central Michigan University (1988) and her master’s in counseling from Oakland University (1992).
She began her career in Michigan working with teenagers and their families, young adults, and new members of the church. She also co-facilitated groups at a local high school. However, for almost 20 years Kathy has been working with sex addiction clients and betrayed partners. Kathy is trained as a supervising counselor for the state of Alabama, and she enjoys the process of developing excellent therapists through the supervision process. She loves to see lives transformed by the healing power of the gospel accompanied by solid clinical approaches.
