Healing after Betrayal: Help and Hope for Partners of Sex Addicts

December 5 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm CST

Sexual or relational betrayal is the deepest wound to a relationship and cuts at the heart of everything that should be sacred. A partner of a sex addict deserves a dedicated focus that addresses the pain of the betrayal, restores self-worth, and provides knowledge and tools and for self-care. Bethesda Workshops is offering a webinar for partners, which will be recorded for future purchase if you’re not able to attend live. Male partners and those who work with partners are welcome to attend.

DATE: Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020

TIME: 9:00 am-12:00 pm Central time

PRESENTER: Marnie Ferree, LMFT, CSAT – Bethesda’s founder and director. She’ll be joined by Shane Oakley, one of our Alumni Directors, who will share her story.

COST: $59.00

This Zoom-based educational workshop will answer questions like:

  • Am I normal to be this devastated? (the trauma of betrayal)
  • What is sex addiction? (Isn’t this just an excuse?)
  • How do I heal?
  • Why do I need to “recover”?
  • Are there deeper issues underneath the addict’s behavior?
  • What do you mean by “unhealthy coping”?
  • How am I supposed to “detach”?
  • What are appropriate boundaries to set about the addict’s behavior?
  • Can I say no to being sexual? Won’t the addict just act out more if we don’t have sex?
  • Will I ever be able to trust again?
  • What does recovery look like for us as a couple?
  • What are helpful resources?
  • Is there really hope for healing after this pain?
